Senior Citizens' Teas are held four times a year; in March, June, September and December. Teas are free of charge and open to anyone of 60 or over.
The afternoon includes entertainment and a short talk and we always have a theme; these have included a Strawberry Tea, a Fashion show, a French soir�e, a Queen's Jubilee celebration and a Hawaiian Luau (hula-hooping optional)! We also have local speakers and entertainment from all sorts of talented people.
An ongoing project is our support of the Mustard Seed Relief Mission Christmas Shoebox Appeal. We collect and make items over the year and use them to fill shoeboxes which are then given as gifts to children in eastern European countries such as Romania, Moldova and the Ukraine. We usually manage to send around 100 boxes.
